Nighty Night® Valerian
What will it do for me? Nighty Night® Valerian herbal tea is a nighttime sleep aid for the relief of occasional sleeplessness.
How do I know it works? The use of herbal teas that combine valerian, passionflower, and lemon balm for occasional sleeplessness is supported by traditional use evidence.
When should I use it? For best effect, drink 2-3 cups late in the day to encourage relaxation, including one cup 30-60 minutes before bedtime, unless directed otherwise by your healthcare practitioner.
How does it taste? Pleasantly spicy, mildly sweet, and somewhat bitter.
Brew Well to be Well®
For maximum benefit, herbal tea must be properly prepared.
Pour 8 oz. freshly boiled water over a tea bag in a cup.
Cover cup and steep 10-15 minutes. Gently squeeze the tea bag to release any remaining extractive. These steps directly influence the amount of beneficial components that will end up in your teacup. Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: For best effect, drink 2-3 cups late in the day to encourage relaxation, including one cup 30-60 minutes before bedtime, unless directed otherwise by your healthcare practitioner.
If sleeplessness persists continuously for more than 2 weeks, consult your healthcare practitioner. Consumption with alcohol is not recommended. Consult a healthcare practitioner if you are taking medications with sedative properties, or have depression and/or related diseases. Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle or involved in activities requiring mental alertness within 2 hours of consumption. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. Side Effect: Gastrointestinal symptoms (e.g. nausea, abdominal cramps) may occur after ingestion of valerian root preparations.
